Heather is experiencing increasing muscle stiffness and loss of mobility, which seems common in dementia. In fact this is often what leads to their demise, when they also lose the ability to swallow correctly, leading to aspiration pneumonia. So the writing is on the wall that it’s time to think about the house more as a care facility than our marital home.
Instead of writing a blog this time, I recorded a video to change things up. I hope you enjoy the format and please leave your comments below.
Extremely well done John!
Thank you for explaining the plan so clearly.
Thanks Ward!
Smart move moving to the downstairs.
It has to happen… her days of being able to use the stairs are numbered. It feels like there’s a little less ability every day… really staggering to witness!
The video was a great way to explain the changes you’re making to meet the needs of a constantly changing landscape!
I’m looking forward to spending some time with you and Heather in September ❤️
Looking forward to seeing you too!
Well done, John. Congrats to your first Vlog on here. And as usual, you are so sensitive when it comes to doing the right thing for Heather. Best wishes to both of you!
Thank you Sonya!
