I got to spend the evening with Heather while John attended the 30th anniversary celebration of the Samba Nova | Community percussion band in Halifax, NS in which he has been a member for many years.
I brought art supplies, and we enjoyed a relaxing time painting together. It started with just a few drops of paint on Heather’s paper. Whenever she required more paint, I asked her to choose a colour, and I added a few more drops. I knew she was finished when she put her brush down and walked away.
Although it might seem like brown was one of the paint colors, it wasn’t. Heather tends to blend paints, often resulting in the creation of new colors.
